One of the key objectives of the project is implementing an effective communications strategy to enhance citizen awareness on the importance of conserving these ecosystems and securing the livelihoods of communities living in these challenging landscapes.

Towards this objective, the project has adopted an innovative approach by developing 360-degree films and Virtual Reality experience that deliver a highly immersive experience and can reach viewers from all around the globe across all strata.

As a part of the project, three 360-degree films have been developed across three key ecosystems in the Ladakh landscape, viz. Mountains, Lakes and Wetlands. For the first time, the project team has managed to capture 8K, 360-degree high definition footage of the highly elusive snow leopard. Previous 360-degree footages of the animal have been taken in captivity.
