Ensuring accessibility and authenticity of data pertaining to wildlife crime and illegal trade in wildlife is critical to enhance inter-agency coordination for effective monitoring and enforcement.

Under the project, a fully digitized Wildlife Crime Database Centre has been established under the forest department in Dehradun that is compiling and digitizing all wildlife crime and human wildlife conflict related data from division level onwards in secure data servers.

These databases will feed into the centralized database being maintained by Wildlife Crime Control Bureau (WCCB) at the national level.
